On Kibbutz Ketura, located in the Southern Arava Desert of Israel,

early 70s, Ketura boasts lush and green landscapes, while situated
against a stark desert backdrop that is framed by two mountain
ranges - the Negev Mountain range to the west, and the dramatic red
and purple mountains of Edom to the east.

Maia Evans creates unique and original jewelry, inspired by nature in general and the desert in
particular, using Sterling silver, Gold, precious and semi-precious gems.
Marla Slott’s paintings are inspired by the landscape of the Arava and emanate the warmth and light of
the desert. Her forms suggest the movement and energy inherent in nature.
Barbara Pinsker's fashionable necklaces and earrings are created in a wide array of colors. She uses
Silver chain, semi-precious beads and Swarovski crystals.
Shizi Levy Weiss has loved flowers and worked with them her whole life. She creates an elegant display
of blooming vintage Lucite flowers, in her originally designed light fixtures.
Dan Evans's photos contain an intimate perspective on nature. His pictures are printed on canvas, thus
eliminating the photo's frame which gives a crisp, clean and elegant look.
